Corality Financial Group hosts seminar at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management

Anna Kim recently presented a full day workshop on project finance and financial modelling in the renewable sector at the Frankfurt School of Management & Finance in Hamburg as part of their “Renewable Energy Finance” programme.

Renewable Energy Finance Programme – strong interest in project finance modelling

The Frankfurt School of Finance & Management’s (Frankfurt School) 12 month “Renewable Energy Finance” Programme includes a course of studies to give students the knowledge and tools needed to be successful in the field of renewable energy finance. As well as covering all of the relevant issues from economics, law, engineering and banking within the field of renewable energy finance, the ins and outs of project financing and capital markets for renewable energies are also covered.
The one day workshop presented by Anna Kim covered the essentials of a project finance transaction in the renewable energies sector including analysis of commercial drivers, traditional industries and newly emerging subsectors, domestic and international financing as well as best practice financial modelling techniques for renewable energy projects.

Best practice modelling

This workshop touched on Corality Financial Group’s best practice financial modelling methodology SMART, which underpins all of the financial models and project finance models that both Navigator and Corality build. SMART is a set of best practice guidelines, internationally applauded for effective and professional financial modelling. By applying the SMART methodology we ensure user transparency, user friendliness and user flexibility. This decreases model risk and increases the confidence of all model users. This methodology is also taught in all of our financial modelling training courses. Find out more about our training programme or view our full global training schedule.
